digiKam 2.4.0 improves histogram view
The digiKam development team has released version 2.4.0 of its open source digital photo management application for KDE. According to the developers, the maintenance update introduces improvements to the histogram view in the right sidebar aimed at making it easier for users to analyse their images.
Additionally, digiKam 2.4.0 includes a new version of the LibRaw RAW image decoder, specifically 0.14.3, which adds support for RAW images shot with Fuji's FinePix F600EXR, Nikon's Coolpix P7100, Olympus's E-PL3 and E-PM1, Panasonic's DMC-FZ150, and the Sony's NEX-5N, SLT-A65V and SLT-A77V cameras. More than 20 bugs found in the previous release have also been fixed.
Further details about the update, including a full list of fixes and changes, can be found in the change log. Version 2.4.0 of the digiKam Software Collection is available to download from the project's site. Hosted on SourceForge, digiKam source code is licensed under the GPLv2.
