Zoom digiKam 2.5.0 in action
The digiKam developers have published version 2.5.0 of their open source digital photo management application for KDE. The maintenance release fixes a total of 101 bugs found in previous versions and includes an updated version of the LibRaw RAW image decoder, specifically version 0.14.5.

The updated decoder adds support for RAW images taken using the Canon S100, Fuji X10, Panasonic GX1, Samsung NX200 and Sony NEX-7 digital cameras. The companion Kipi-plugins have also been updated, correcting 41 issues and updating translations.

A full list of changes in the update can be found in the NEWS file. Version 2.5.0 of the digiKam Software Collection is available to download from the project's site. Source code for digiKam is hosted on SourceForge and licensed under the GPLv2.
