Sun Microsystems have announced the results of the Community Acceptance Survey for NetBeans 6.7. With 79 per cent of the 144 respondents agreeing that the NetBeans 6.7 release candidate is stable enough to be shipped, NetBeans 6.7 can now move on to be released.

The survey highlighted a number of issues in the release candidates, three of which have already been fixed. The rest are queued and will be fixed through the NetBeans Update Center as soon as possible. The NetBeans developers contacted the respondents with the most criticisms to ensure that they were not overlooking any problems.

The full breakdown of the responses, including links to show-stoppers and comments is available from the NetBeans website. Notably, new NetBeans features such as Project Kenai integration and the new Maven integration are not being used by 77 per cent and 66 per cent of respondents respectively. Performance on the other hand was rated as equal or better to the previous version of NetBeans by nearly 80 per cent of the respondents, with 44 per cent rating it as better.
