MontaVista Carrier Grade Linux 6.0 - with configurable real-time environments
Linux specialist MontaVista has released version 6.0 of its Carrier Grade Edition (CGE) Linux development platform. The main innovation of this release for high availability Linux system is the so-called Bare Metal Engine: separate processes can be run in a real-time environment, with guaranteed response times that can be reduced by sacrificing individual operating system APIs.
In addition, like the mid-October released Wind River Linux 4, MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade 6.0 meets the Carrier Grade Linux 5 and the Linux Standard Base 4 specifications.
