OpenLogic was one of the founding members of the FOSSBazaar community, a Linux Foundation work group dedicated to open source governance.

OpenLogic Logo According to the Foundation, OpenLogic will collaborate on, and contribute to, the new Open Compliance Program, which already includes FOSSBazaar. Launched in early August, the new program is an initiative to help companies comply with open source licences through the use of tools, training, self-assessment and a standard format for reporting license information.

Discussing the announcement, OpenLogic CEO Steven Grandchamp said, "In our work with large enterprises, we find adoption of open source continues to accelerate," adding that, "We’re looking forward to working with The Linux Foundation to facilitate open source adoption by educating companies on open source governance and compliance issues".

The Linux Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the task of promoting the growth of Linux. Linus Torvalds, the creator of Linux, is himself sponsored by the foundation.
