OpenLogic Logo Colorado-based open source governance specialist OpenLogic has announced the addition of new Agile functionality for OpenLogic Exchange (OLEX), the company's software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for provisioning, governance, scanning and compliance. With the new Agile features, OLEX now includes command line scanning, automatic delta scanning, as well as various alert options to automatically alert developers on new open source found in their projects.

Discussing the news, OpenLogic co-founder and CTO Rod Cope said, "Companies distributing software need to understand what open source they are using at the time it is introduced into the code base," adding that, "This way issues around open source licensing and compliance can be addressed immediately instead of waiting till a product is ready to ship. With the widespread use of Agile development methodologies that result in fast release cycles, companies can't afford delays in finding out about open source usage."

The new Agile features for OLEX are available now and are included for customers using the License Compliance module.
