Clonezilla Logo Clonezilla developer Steven Shiau has announced the release of version 1.2.5-35 of Clonezilla Live. Clonezilla is an open source clone system (OCS) with features similar to Symantec Ghost Corporate Edition and Partimage, and is designed for hard disk partitioning and cloning.

The latest stable Clonezilla Live release is based on the unstable branch of Debian known as "Sid" from the 20th of July and features upgrades to its underlying GNU / Linux operating system, including the 2.6.32-17 Linux kernel. The developers note that, as most netbooks don't support a resolution of 1024 x 768, the default setting has been changed to use 800 x 600. Other changes include version 0.2.11 of the Partclone partition image utility, improvements to prep-ocsroot and various bug fixes.

More details about the release can be found in the release announcement. Clonezilla 1.2.5-35 is available to download as an ISO image file from SourceForge and is released under a GPL license.
