Clonezilla logo The Clonezilla development team has published version 1.2.12-10 of its open source clone system for hard disk partitioning and duplication. The update is based on the unstable branch of Debian (known as "Sid") from 27 January and the 3.2.1-2 Linux kernel, and includes updates to the bundled tools and utilities.

Clonezilla live 1.2.12-10 includes version 0.2.45 of the Partclone partition image utility and updates Syslinux to the 4.05 release from December 2011. When creating an image file, users can now select an "autoname" option to automatically name it, and an option to skip checking a destination's disk size before creating its partition tale has been added. Developer Steven Shiau also notes that a problem related to PXE booting on machines with multiple network cards has been fixed, as have problems that caused the GRUB boot loader package from being reinstalled or restored under some circumstances.

Details about this update, including a full list of changes and improvements, are provided in the release announcement and in the release notes. Clonezilla live 1.2.12-10 is available to download from the project's site. Hosted on SourceForge, Clonezilla is licensed under the GPLv2.
