Zend Framework 1.8.4 released, 1.9.0 roadmap published

Zend, the PHP company, has announced the release of version 1.8.4 of the open source Zend Framework. The fourth maintenance release includes over 50 bug fixes across 20 different components. Version 1.8.4 of the Zend Framework is available to download and more details about the release can be found in the change log.

Zend has also published a roadmap for version 1.9.0, the next major release of the Zend Framework. Proposed features include a REST routing module, a factory that eases the creation and configuration of the Zend_Log object, syslog support and extended LDAP support. According to the post, the 1.9.0 release is expected to be available late in July of this year.
