Xfce 4.6.1 released
Nearly two months after the initial release of Xfce 4.6, the Xfce development team have announced the release of version 4.6.1. The open source desktop environment for UNIX and Linux platforms aims to be fast and lightweight, while still being visually appealing and adhering to standards.
The 4.6.1 release addresses over 30 bugs, including a long standing bug in the window manager (xfwm4) and a bug in the desktop manager (xfdesktop) that prevented the desktop menu from loading on FreeBSD systems. A large number of translations across Xfce have also been updated and completed since the initial 4.6.0 release.
More details about the release can be found in the 4.6.1 change log. Many distributions support Xfce and users can install the updated version by downloading the latest packages. A list of Xfce based Linux distributions can be found on the Xfce distributions page.
