GroundWork Monitor has been updated to version 5.3 with improvements to key areas. The network management software from GroundWork is available as a free Community Edition, as well as two commercial versions, GroundWork Monitor Professional and GroundWork Monitor Enterprise. The new release includes version 3.06 of the Nagios monitoring tools. Updated components include MySQL, RRDTool, PHP and the reporting tool BRIT. Installation has been simplified for new Linux servers, as all prerequisites are now included in a single package.

GroundWork monitor 5.3 is able to scale better than it's predecessor and includes other innovations to help with larger system landscapes. Intelligent reporting is also easier, as bottlenecks in the networks and resources will be identified. The new enterprise and professional versions include new reports for top 5 and for performance. An updated Event Console is included in the commercial version, which now supports filtering by service groups, enabling specialists to create a view that shows only the events that apply to them.

System requirements and more information can be found on the GroundWork web site.
