UK based Opsera has announced the release of Opsview 3. The new release of the application and network monitoring software is based on Nagios version 3, the free network monitoring software. Improvements have been made in performance, configuration and the NDOutils Data Warehouse. Opsview integrates with the Nagvis visualisation tool and Opsera offers commercial support and additional services for the software.

Opsview is intended to be a complete solution for server monitoring. Opsera bundles in Nagios to work with other free network monitoring tools such as Net-SNMP, RRDtool and reporting software. The software runs under Linux (Debian, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and Ubuntu) and Sun's Solaris. Opsview monitors all of the common operating systems, including Windows. The management and monitoring console runs in a web browser.

The package is available under the GNU General Public License 2 and is available on SourceForge and on the Opsview community web site to download. A virtual Appliance is also available for VMware.
