Zoom Flock 2.5.6 on Mac OS X.
The Flock developers have released version 2.5.6 of their social web browser based on Firefox 3, addressing several security issues. Flock is a popular cross-platform browser that automatically manages updates and media from several popular social services, including MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Digg, YouTube and Twitter.

The maintenance release updates Flock's Firefox core to the 3.0.16 patch from mid-December, which closed several critical holes in the Mozilla browser. The latest Firefox 3.0.x branch release, version 3.0.17, however, was just released earlier today to fix a problem in conjunction with HTTP proxies, so it's likely this will soon be included in a future Flock release. Additionally, Flock's developers say they have incorporated the "latest" version of Adobe's Flash plug-in, although they don't specify the exact version number.

More details about the release can be found in the release notes. Flock 2.5.6 is available to download (direct download) for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
