Open Handset Alliance adds 13 new members
During Google's Nexus One press conference yesterday, Google announced that the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) has added thirteen new members. The OHA is a consortium of companies headed by Google that are involved in developing the Android mobile platform. According to ZDNet, new OHA members include NEC, Freescale Semiconductor and China Telecom. The addition of thirteen new companies brings the current total to 52 OHA members.
An official press release detailing all thirteen members, however, has yet to be posted on the OHA press page. A full list of members can be found on the OHA Members page.
