Tibco General Interface now under the Dojo Foundation umbrella

Tibco has handed over the source code of the Tibco General Interface to the Dojo Foundation. The Ajax-based platform for Rich Internet Applications (RIA) is to be developed under the umbrella of the non-profit foundation. The Dojo Foundation is also the home of the Dojo Toolkit, a library to assist with the development of JavaScript and Ajax applications.

The Tibco code joins cometd, DWR, Lucid Desktop, OpenRecord, Persevere and Sizzle as projects which have made their home with the Dojo Foundation. The Dojo Toolkit was recently updated to version 1.3.0. The foundation plans to deepen the General Interface's integration with the Dojo Toolkit and release that work under the BSD licence.
