A new version of open source content management system (CMS) webEdition containing a number of bug fixes and enhancements has been released. Highlights in webEdition version include extensions and enhancements in the DB/object, shop and workflow modules, such as the addition of countrycode and languagecode attributes to the Paypal tag, allowing shop users to preset the language used on the Paypal site.

There have been a range of improvements to make the application more user-friendly and editors can also now make use of the Java upload tool. CodeMirror has been integrated as a template editor as an alternative to textareas and the Java editor. The community website includes a list of all bug fixes and changes.

webEdition, the source code for which was donated by Karlsruhe-based Living-e AG, can be downloaded from the webEdition website. Users of earlier version can install version using the built-in update function. webEdition is released under version 3 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).
