Zoom Personas on Firefox 3.5.6.
The Labs team at Mozilla has announced the launch of version 2.0 of Personas, a Mozilla Labs experiment that lets users easily change the appearance of their standard grey Firefox web browser. The Personas are lightweight "skins" for the web browser that change the look of Firefox by changing the header and footer areas, while leaving the navigation buttons and menus alone.

Compared to version 1.0, which the Labs developers launched at the end of March, Personas 2.0 now includes several new features, such as search and favorites, a new "Up & Coming" gallery to help users discover new artists and designs, and even more localisations. Other changes include a new "enhanced look" and a wider choice of designs. According to Mozilla, while Personas 1.0 launched with less than 150 designs, the developers expect to offer a choice from 40,000 designs by the end of this year.

More details about Personas 2.0 can be found in an announcement blog post on The Mozilla Blog and on the Getting Started page. A Personas 2.0 introduction video is also available.
