Kubuntu developer Jonathan Riddell has announced in a post on the KDE Blog that the Kubuntu Active project has started producing daily builds. The project is aimed at creating a Kubuntu version of the Plasma Active tablet interface.

The daily builds are only available for the i386 platform at this point, but the team is planning to begin releasing builds for the ARMv7 architecture when those builds are "a bit more stable". The team is also looking for testers for their packages.

Kubuntu Active is based on the upstream Plasma Active interface produced by KDE and is mainly aimed at tablets such as the Vivaldi tablet that was announced earlier this year and has recently been renamed. The experimental daily images can be downloaded from the Ubuntu mirrors.
