Canonical adds commercial services for Bazaar
Canonical, founder and sponsor of the Ubuntu project, has announced that it's now offering commercial services for its Bazaar version control system (VCS). According to Canonical, it will provide several services, including training, support and consultancy and conversion.
“Our Consultancy & Conversion, Training and Support services give new and existing customers peace of mind when setting up such a vital piece of infrastructure,” said Martin Pool, project manager at Canonical. The commercial services are available for new and existing customers and include "standard per-day and per-developer fee options depending on the requirements of each company or project".
Bazaar is an open source version control system that is part of the Launchpad project and includes support for distributed development environments. Bazaar supports Mac OS X, Windows and Linux and is licensed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv2).
