Companies that join the Ubuntu Advantage (UA) partner program will receive direct support from the Linux distributor Canonical. Canonical's partner offering can be tailored to suit the needs of the prospective partner, depending on whether it is a software company (ISV), hosting company, reseller or hardware OEM.

For example, a software company would gain access to programs that can check for compatibility between its products and Ubuntu's applications. Hardware OEMs will receive help from Canonical to simplify the process of pre-installing Ubuntu onto their hardware.

The existing Ubuntu Advantage program provides enterprise customers with Canonical's tools and support, including "round the clock support, Ubuntu Landscape management and monitoring tool, knowledge base and legal cover". The new UA partner program extends this service beyond Canonical, providing additional local resources to customers from partners. Interested parties can apply via the Ubuntu partner page.
