Version 4 of Plone CMS released

The Plone developers have released version 4.0 of their open source content management system (CMS). The developers have improved performance, included a new theme, reduced the system's memory requirements and implemented an improved user and group management feature.

Further new features include dynamic forms based on the jQuery JavaScript library. By updating the infrastructure, the developers have also already taking a first step in the direction of version 5.

The package is maintained by the Plone Foundation and is now available to download for Windows, Linux/BSD and Mac OS X systems. Plone is licensed under the GNU GPL.
