The organisers of the SAMBA eXperience 2010, the ninth international Samba conference being held in Göttingen, Germany from May 3rd to May 7th, have issued a call for papers on Samba, the free software implementation of SMB/CIFS, and related technologies. The organisers are looking for technical talks or user reports on subjects such as Active Directory integration, optimal use of Samba Directory Server, working with LDAP, authentication and identity management and clustering for high availability and performance.

Oher suitable topics include talks about the current state of projects, achieving project roadmap goals, business solutions using Samba, selling open systems for file services and meeting support and help desk needs. Although not obligatory English is the preferred language for presentations.

The conference itself will be preceded by tutorials and workshops. Full details of the attendance options are available on the Sambaxp.org website, where until the February 1st, early sign-ups can register for the conference for €249, rather than the normal fee of €399. Tutorials and workshops are charged for separately.
