OSCON 2010 Call for Papers
The organisers of the next O'Reilly Open Source Convention, also known as OSCON, have announced that the OSCON 2010 Call for Papers deadline will be the 1st of February, 2010. The 2010 OSCON convention will take place from the 19th to the 23rd of July, 2010 in Portland, Oregon and is expected to attract more than 2,500 attendees, including "experts, visionaries and hackers in the trenches".
The organisers are looking for proposals focusing on virtually any open source topic and they say that the presentations should provide practical information based on "tools people actually use". Proposals can range from 40 minute presentations, panels and group discussions, to 3 hour tutorials. Attendees interested in submitting a proposal are advised to do so as soon as possible. The program will be announced and early registration will open in April of 2010.
