Novell’s new support terms

Effective from the 1st of February, Novell is changing its support terms for access to patches and service packs. While nothing will change for Netware and SUSE Linux Enterprise – updates for Netware will remain generally accessible, whereas patches, service packs and security fixes for SUSE Linux Enterprise already require a subscription –, all other Novell products will require a maintenance contract or subscription for access to patches and service packs. Only security fixes will remain generally accessible.
