Likewise Open 6.0 improves log on performance
Likewise Software has announced the release of version 6.0 of Likewise Open, the company's authentication tool for joining Mac OS X, Linux and Unix machines to Windows Active Directory networks. According to the company, the latest major update features enhanced password change support, a smart service manager and improves log on performance, especially for large and complex environments.
Likewise Open 6.0 is available to download from the company's web site (registration required). The open source community project is hosted at likewiseopen.org. Likewise Open Spring 08 Edition source code is available on Git and is licensed under version 3 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).
