Jaspersoft 5 improves visualisation and scalability

The recently introduced Jaspersoft 5 includes a new HTML5 visualisation feature that is designed to make it easier for users to analyse and handle their data. The latest edition of the business intelligence (BI) software also offers a revised analysis engine that can, its developers say, process relational data, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), and Big Data sources that include terabytes of data.

Changes to the reporting features allow users to personalise their analyses according to their individual requirements. Other enhancements include administration improvements and a REST API for use with PHP. The REST API will become part of the GPL-licensed open source Jaspersoft 5 Community Edition, which is not yet available. Many other new features, as well as various existing ones, are only available in the commercial version.
