EclipseCon Logo Next year's EclipseCon conference will take place from the 21st to the 24th of March in Santa Clara, California. The event, organised by the Eclipse Foundation, is now accepting submissions for talks. All proposals must be submitted before the deadline of the 30th of November, 2010. Those interested in having their talk selected as one of the "top-five early picks" must have it in by the early-bird submission deadline, the 17th of November. Tutorials, Technical Talks and Panels will be chosen on the 16th of December.

According to the organisers, the conference will be organised around three themes. The first will be "Making with Ecilpse" and will look at how people use Eclipse to create new software. "Making at Eclipse" will focus on several state-of-the-nation talks about Eclipse projects and "Making Community" will discuss how Eclipse projects and the community can continue to grow and prosper.

Those interested in attending EclipseCon 2011 are advised to register as soon as possible. Advance registration costs $1,745 (£1,101) for an all access pass and early-bird discounts are available until the 31st of December. Eclipse members, committers, alumni and OSGi DevCon members receive an additional discount, while registration at the conference will cost an additional $200. As speakers will receive a discount on registration, those who plan to submit, or have submitted, a talk are encouraged not to register until they know the status of their submission.

Next week's Eclipse Summit Europe conference will take place from the 2nd to the 4th of November in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The sold out event will have some 450 attendees and will feature several workshops, lectures and demonstrations.
