USB security keys for laptops are not new, but GT Securikey have identified a niche in the market. Securikey make one USB security key for Windows and one for Mac OS X. When the associated software is installed, the operating system is only accessible when the correct USB key is plugged into a USB port. Removing the key results in either a log out or a shut down to protect the system. The same USB key is also used to encrypt data on the disk. GT Securikey realised that there were quite a few users of Mac systems who used Boot Camp on the Mac, to alternate between both operating systems. For those users, they have introduced their Securikey Pro Boot Camp Bundle, which, like their Windows or OS X only offering, comes with two keys, one for active use, one as a spare, but with software for both Windows and Mac OS X. This allows a user to use one key to secure both operating systems.

The Pro Boot Camp Bundle will cost $180, $50 more than the single operating system version of Securikey. Pricing for Europe wasn't available from their European online distributor, but given existing prices for Securikey products, expect it at around 180 euros.
