Safer Internet Day
Safer Internet Day, on 8 February 2011, is organised by Insafe each year to promote the safer use of online technology, particularly for children. Insafe is a European network of Awareness Centres promoting safe and responsible use of the internet and mobile devices to young people. It is co-funded by the Safer Internet Programme, a European Union initiative that aims to empower and protect children and young people while they use online services.
The Safer Internet Programme also supports the Safer Internet Forum, an annual conference on the internet and safety issues.
