Zarafa releases version 1.0 of its next generation web interface
Messaging and collaboration specialist Zarafa has released version 1.0 of WebApp, its next generation web interface for the Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP). Compared to the company's previous WebAccess solution, WebApp is designed to be easier to use, adds new features and can be extended using plugins such as for Facebook, web meetings and online chat.
The new web client features multi-user weekly calendaring, and support for shared folders and calendar overlay, as well as faster loading times. WebApp works with Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer, and works with the current version 7.0.6 release of Zarafa's Linux-based groupware product – the Microsoft Exchange alternative offers IMAP/POP3 access, a CalDAV gateway, native MAPI integration with Outlook.
Further information about the web interface can be found on the WebApp product page; API Documentation and a developer manual are provided. Users can try out WebApp using the Zarafa demo server or download WebApp packages it from the company's site. Version 1.0 of the Zarafa WebApp is also available from the company's Community Hub web site and is licensed under the AGPLv3.
