Apache Solr 1.3.0Apache Solr, the Lucene-based open source enterprise search library, has seen a 1.3.0 release. Solr, which was originally developed by CNET Networks as Solar, and contributed to Apache in 2006, is a Java based application which allows XML, HTTP or JSON based web services to query a replicated index of documents. Version 1.3.0 sees the addition of distributed search capabilities, Lucene performance improvements and multiple indexes in a single deployment. There is also a new SolrJ client which uses a binary protocol for faster client-server communications. The new release is available to download with documentation on the Solr wiki.

Qt 4.4.2Trolltech have updated the Qt application framework to version 4.4.2. No new features appear in this release, but around 150 bugs are fixed throughout the framework. The new version is available on the Trolltech site and licensed under Trolltech's dual commercial/GPL licensing.
