The Debian project developers have announced the release of the first update to Debian 5.0 (codename Lenny), initially released in February. The update addresses several bugs and security issues in the initial 5.0 release. The debian-installer has been updated to incorporate the recent security fixes for the Linux kernel and support has been added for the D-Link DNS-323 Network Attached Storage (NAS).

More details about the release can be found in the change log. Debian 5.0.1 is available to download and installation guides are provided.
