Next February, Grau Data AG will be releasing its Archive Manager under the new name Open Archive. Open Archive will be available as open source software under the AGPL. The vendor says it is taking this step to fulfil customer demand for the long-term availability of its software. Archive Manager makes petabytes of data – up to 100 billion files on hard drives and tape – accessible via SMB/CIFS and NFS.
