SourceForge, a development and distribution host for open source software, has opened a new platform for development, which enables third parties to link their own to developer communities with Source Forge.

With Open@Adobe, Adobe is the first manufacturer to expand its own open-source program through the SourceForge 2.0 beta portal. Through the new repository Adobe provides improved public access to its open source projects not only to its own software, such as the Flex Framework, but also to various specifications and standards.

With more than a quarter million software projects and almost three million downloads a day, SourceForge is one of the largest open source development platforms worldwide. The new developers forge was developed partly based on suggestions from the community and provides users with several new features, including a source code management system and a discussion platform through a wiki.
