JetBrains has released version 4.0 of its issue tracking and project management system YouTrack. The Czech software company's latest release sees the addition of a new module for managing agile software projects, which supports Scrum and Kanban teams. The tool offers boards, backlog management functions, burn-down charts and a cumulative flow chart designed for the two development frameworks and provides the ability to display multiple projects in a single Scrum or Kanban board.

Also new is a preview of version 12 of the company's Java development environment IntelliJ IDEA. The IDE, developed under the code name Leda, offers an interface designer for Android, a new compiler mode and support for jBPM 5.0, and thus BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation). It also supports Play 1.2.4, Hibernate 4.0, Groovy 2.0 and TomEE. Other features include an iOS simulator for AIR Mobile and support for CloudFoundry, UML diagram extensions for Flash and Flex, and extensions for Subversion, Git and Perforce.
