Double filename extension
Many viruses use multiple filename extensions such as image.jpg.scr to hide the fact that the file attachment is executable. Windows and a lot of email clients do not display commonly used file extensions, so that only image.jpg appears as the file name. But if you open the alleged image, you instead launch a program that infects your computer. You can use our harmless email to see how your system responds.
To prevent such confusion, you should adjust the settings in Windows so that all file extensions are displayed.
Warning: If your provider or another mail gateway filters your emails for executable files, this email or the attachment may never reach you.
