c't Offline Update 3.1 supports further Windows languages

Version 3.1 of the c't Offline Update script collection can now load security updates for additional language versions of Windows from Microsoft's servers. English, Dutch, Spanish, French and Portuguese are the languages currently available.

The script packet, use of which is described in a December 2006 article on this site, allows you to create up-to-date update CDs and DVDs as ISO images at the touch of a button. This allows you to bring as many Windows PCs as you like bang up to date without having to first download the updates from the internet. The installation script installs only those updates which are not already installed onto the target system.
