Vulnerability reported in Microsoft Windows nslookup.exe

A newly discovered vulnerability in the Microsoft Windows version of nslookup.exe, the tool for looking up IP addresses through the DNS system, affects Windows 98, Windows 2000, NT 4.0 and Windows XP, is believed to be already being exploited in the wild. According to SecurityFocus, the unspecified vulnerability allows attackers to remotely execute code.

Currently, there is no patch for the problem. Microsoft has said that they are aware of the issue and are currently investigating it but it is not known as to when Microsoft will provide a patch.
