After a two-month beta phase, Kaspersky has released the final versions of its Antivirus 7 and Internet Security 7. Holders of a valid license for previous versions are eligible to use these new versions until their license expires.

In version 7, Kaspersky says that it has made the software even easier to use. In addition, heuristics and root kit detection have also been further developed and improved. New features include privacy control (which is designed to prevent such sensitive data as PINs and TANs from being sent into cyberspace) and child protection.

The new versions support Windows NT, 2000, XP, and Vista. Like its predecessor, Kaspersky Antivirus 7 costs around GB £20, while Internet Security 7 can be had for about GB £27.
