VeriSign Trusted Seal At the Miami Parallels Summit VeriSign launched its new "VeriSign Trust" seal service. For a monthly fee VeriSign authenticates subscribers sites as being the business or organisation the site claims to be and conducts a daily scan for the presence of malware. Subscribers can display the VeriSign Trust seal on their sites as an assurance to their customers. Search results will display the "VeriSign Trust" logo next to trusted websites. The service includes technical support.

VeriSign also offer their established Secured seal service which features SSL encryption as well as authentication and support. While the Secured service does not at the moment provide a malware scan, VeriSign plan to add this feature shortly.

Prices for a "Trusted" seal start at around $25 per month. The service is initially being offered in the US, but should be available worldwide soon.
