TrueCrypt test logo The TrueCrypt developers have released version 6.3 of their open source, cross platform, disk encryption tool. In addition to several bug fixes and minor improvements on all platforms, the latest release features full support for Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. TrueCrypt 6.3 now includes the ability to configure selected volumes as "system favourite volumes" in order to, for example, mount them before the system and application services start, or before users start logging on.

More details about the release can be found in the version history. TrueCrypt 6.3 is available to download for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS X and Linux. A Beginner's Tutorial is provided. TrueCrypt is released under the TrueCrypt License Version 2.8 and donations are accepted to support the project.
