Trojan steals Skype login data.
Anti-virus vendors F-Secure and McAfee have warned of a trojan which presents itself as "Skype Defender," but in reality steals users' login credentials. After installation, the program, which purports to be a Skype plugin, terminates any Skype processes which are running and then displays a fake Skype login screen. Neither of the two companies explains what it then does with the Skype credentials obtained. According to McAfee, the malware does not have any mechanism for spreading autonomously.
