Teenage web site vandals arrested
Five members of the D.O.M. (Dark OwneD Mafia) Team cracker group have been arrested by Spanish police following a two-month investigation. The five, who apparently have never met in person but communicated entirely over the web, were seized in Barcelona, Burgos, Malaga and Valencia. They are aged between 16 and 20.
The D.O.M. Team have claimed over 20,000 defacements since July 2005, although only 972 have been classified by defacement monitor Zone-H as "special attacks" on high profile targets including government sites. The last D.O.M. Team defacement was logged by Zone-H on 27 April 2008. However, other members of the D.O.M. Team are still at large, many in South America.
