UNDP logo Talking to media in the US, a spokeswoman for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) announced that the UN server access credentials published by the TeamP0ison hacker group earlier this week were obsolete and are no longer valid.

The spokeswoman added that the more than 800 records dated back to 2007 and originated from an old server that was taken offline by UNDP employees after the incident.

However, the list that was published on the pastebin.com text hosting service is still likely to be a useful find for criminals: apart from user names and passwords, which the affected users may also have used when registering for other web sites, the list also contains hundreds of email addresses belonging to people in UN circles.
