Security update for Thunderbird email client
The Mozilla Foundation has released Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 which fixes six moderate and two noncritical holes in the open source email client. The moderate holes include several vulnerabilities previously closed in Firefox, where they were classified as critical. JavaScript is required to exploit the these holes, but on Thunderbird, this is disabled by default, hence the moderate rating.
The developers urgently recommend upgrading to version 2.0.0.16. Users can do this via the automated update option or by manually downloading the program.
