A vulnerability in Adobe Photoshop CS4 11.0.0 allows attackers to gain control of a computer through the use of manipulated TIFF files. The victim is required to open the file with Photoshop manually. Photoshop CS5 is not affected. Adobe has released no details about the exact causes of the problem in CS4.

To close the vulnerability, users should update to the newly released Adobe Photoshop CS4 11.0.1 by either running the built-in software update in CS4 (Help->Updates) or by downloading the update for Windows and Mac OS X.
