SAP Logo To coincide with Microsoft's Patch Tuesday, SAP has scheduled a regular "Security Patch Day" to be held on the second Tuesday of each month. On these patch days, the vendor plans to inform customers about security updates for various SAP products that are supported via the SAP Service Marketplace. Updates will be provided via the Service Marketplace platform.

At its patch day premiere on Tuesday, SAP pointed out security holes in ABAP-based SAP products such as the SAP Gateway, the SAP Message Server and the SAP GUI. ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) is SAP's custom programming language. SAP has advised customers to download and install the appropriate patches and check their configurations as soon as possible.
