LulzSec, the group behind the some of the recent attacks on Sony, has struck in the UK obtaining administration passwords related the UK's National Health Service (NHS). The Department of Health denied that any patient data was at risk, telling the BBC that "This is a local issue affecting a very small number of website administrators".

The Lulzsec attack on the NHS is somewhat atypical; for example, they notified NHS administrators of the passwords they had obtained saying, "While you aren't considered an enemy – your work is of course brilliant – we did stumble upon several of your admin passwords which are as follow...". A later tweet from the group said they did not plan to exploit the passwords and that they "sit on admin passwords for many things. It's kind of like a lulz collection."

LulzSec's recent exploits have included gaining access to a branch of FBI liaison company, InfraGard, and through that the private email of Karim Hijazi, head of security firm Unveillance security. The group also hijacked US broadcaster PBS's website, where they added a news item about the dead rapper Tupac being found alive in New Zealand. Unlike the hacktivist group Anonymous, LulzSec seems to have no particular agenda except for embarrassing its victims.
