Milw0rm exploit portal resumes normal service

The milw0rm exploit portal has resumed normal service and is back online. Following the announcement, last week, by the site's operator – str0ke, that time constraints meant he planned to stop publishing exploits, the portal is reported to have been swamped with enquiries. According to str0ke the server was overloaded and had to be replaced with a more powerful machine. The flood of visits may have been caused by users trying to download as many exploits as possible before the database went off line.

According to str0ke the decision to get back to work is thanks to friends who have agreed to take on some of the work on milw0rm. This will allow a whole group of people to evaluate and publish exploits, work previously carried out by str0ke alone. The volume of submissions had led, slowly, to the point where str0ke could no longer cope. A large number of emails from users also appears to have contributed to str0ke's decision to keep the site open and to continue to operate milw0rm as a central clearing house for exploits.
