Xbox Live Following the recent attack on Sony's PlayStation Network in which the data of more than 75 million users was compromised, Microsoft is now warning users of a possible phishing attack related to its Xbox Live Matchmaking service. The Matchmaking system pairs up users with other players for online gaming based on their cumulative gamerscore, reputation, location, language and gamer zone.

On its Xbox LIVE Status page, the company says that "Users may receive potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging while playing Modern Warfare 2". However, as noted by Microsoft, the issue seems to only affect users connected to the internet playing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 first-person shooter video game. Microsoft says that it is aware of the issues and is working to resolve the problem.
